This is a new beginning, new dawn, and a fresh start! We are upscaling to create a new experience. The Institute of Packaging Professionals Kenya (IOPPK), is a Focal Human Packaging Skills Development Centre in Kenya and Eastern Africa. IOPPK is a member of the World Packaging Organization (WPO) a non-profit, non-governmental, international federation of national packaging institutes and associations, regional packaging federations, and other interested parties.

It is also a member of the African Packaging Organization (APO), with an aim to improve the standards and skills of packaging throughout Africa, including support of its member organizations, building packaging capability in Africa, and seeking to increase trade throughout the continent. Our main focus is enhancing and Building Global Packaging skills in Kenya. Our Core courses are growing steadily, they are:

• Fundamentals of Packaging Technology (FPT)
• Packaging Development
• Packaging Machinery
• Sustainable Packaging for Brand Owners

World Packaging Organization (WPO) training programs continue annually.
We continue to collaborate with Partners at African Packaging Organization (APO) and World Packaging Organization (WPO) to strengthen our educational offerings. We have extended our Networks by marking “The International day of awareness of Food Loss and Waste on the 29th of September an annual event.

This year 2023, we launched the Kenya Packaging Summit Day on Sustainable Packaging for Brands and Exports with our partners and Members, a day that we will mark annually.
We are soon launching the Kenya Packaging Award (Ken StarPack Awards) which starts its journey to Afristar and Worldstar. Our Exhibition Partner PROPAK EA is very handy in supporting the enhancement of Packaging Skills visible by Exhibitions.
